Project Cafe: Nintendo’s Redemption?
I still remember waking up Christmas morning in 1987 to the one and only Nintendo Entertainment System, every kid’s dream Christmas present. Ever since that day I was a Nintendo loyalist. I bought every console Nintendo put out and none of the competitors’ (Sega, Sony, Microsoft, Atari) would ever sway my interest.

I go through what I like to call “phases” of musical obsession over certain bands/artists. There are a handful of bands that I regularly phase in and out of and those artists have established themselves as my favorite bands. It’s hard to explain how or why I go into these phases but it usually entails listening to their music for weeks, watching any documentaries or youtube clips I can find, overanalyzing the songwriting/production, and often I end up getting drunk and crying. It’s really quite wonderful.
I have decided to try and document these phases as they come to me without altering their natural patterns. My current phase is XTC.
